Set up your profile

Canonical username is not profile metadata in MIP 4. Usernames are claimed through USERNAME_CREATE and replaced through USERNAME_UPDATE — separate from storage. STORAGE_CLAIM funds raw storage only.

This guide covers only mutable profile metadata: display name, bio, avatar, and website. Each field is stored as an independent last-write-wins register via ACCOUNT_DATA messages.
